Join us at 5:30 pm in the foyer beside Macdonald Hall for a festive reception to start the celebration. It's the perfect setting to mingle, make new connections, and strengthen cherished friendships.
A cash bar will be available all evening.
Canada Photography Showcase
Every Gala guest is invited to submit up to two of their favourite photographs taken anywhere in Canada.
Throughout the evening, these images will light up our slideshow presentation - each one proudly displaying its location and photographer.
Show us the Canada you see: our awe-inspiring national parks, dynamic cities, rich cultural diversity, and the ever-changing magic of our seasons. Whether your photo captures a sweeping landscape, a hidden gem, or a meaningful moment, it adds to the story we're celebrating together.

Gala Dinner Details
Dinner
Join us for the Gala Dinner in Macdonald Hall at SAIT. We are please to accommodate dietary restrictions. The evening's meal is crafted by SAIT's celebrated culinary school, giving guests a taste of refined cuisine at a truly accessible price.
Many conference speakers will be in attendance so this is another opportunity to engage with these prestigious individuals.
Entertainment
Once the meal concludes, prepare to be swept into 30 minutes of unforgettable entertainment by gifted Indigenous performers from the local community. Their dynamic combination of dance, music, and storytelling will transform the room into a vibrant celebration of culture and creativity. This uplifting performance promises to be one of the evening's most memorable highlights, leaving guests inspired and buzzing with energy.
Presentations
The CAPA Awards Presentation will follow, lasting approximately 20 minutes. During this inspiring segment, the top images will be revealed and the talented photographers behind them will be honoured. It's a wonderful moment of recognition, celebration and artistic achievement.
A brief hospitality presentation will be delivered by the Conference Organizing Committee.
Dress Code
The dress code is semi-formal. We have seen guests in attire ranging from dress-casual to festive!
We encourage you to wear what you'll feel most comfortable in, with respect to the celebratory occasion.
